I have done all the right steps to removing the front forks (as mentioned in the HOW TO section of BDB). The bike is currenlty lifted up and the forks do not seem to want to come off. Are there any additional steps or is there a little more brute force required to pull them off once the triple tree stuff is unscrewed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After removing the pinch bolts on the lower triple tree and the top bolts from the fork tubes, I tapped a wood wedge into the pinch bolt space on the lower triple tree and the tubes literally fell out of the triple trees.

If you spray a lil silicone spray on the upper part of the tubes they will slide in and out better. Less chance of scratching. The large bolt on the upper tripple has to come out before you can remove the fork.

I used liquid dish soap to help slide my tubes out. Just had to wiggle them a bit.
As an FYI, I lifted the bike and then put a bucket under the back wheel to keep the back tire stabilized for when the front end is removed. as the bike will no longer be balanced on the jack.
