Rear Wheel..Need help

Had the new wheel mounted and I put it on this morning. Saw that the previous alignment was not correct so I corrected it for proper belt deflection. When I spin the wheel forward, all is good. When I spin the wheel backwards, the belt has a slight climb on the right side at the top of the wheel sprocket that the belt "rides in" on the rear wheel. Also, I need a picture of the rear wheel that shows the axle and spacers. I am guessing they are all correct since the rear brake caliper when on correctly. Although 2 of the spacers, and I think they are the ones on both outer extremes had a little lip on them and I was not sure which way they went back. I know I need a manual, and am puchasing one from a forum member but have not completed the deal. Thanks for any help

Can the belt, forward of the rear wheel on the transmission sprocket, be mover over a bit. Mine would need to go the the left just a hair to solve the belt/sprocket issue?

It's normal for a belt to not track the same in reverse as it does in forward. What you can do is tweak the rear wheel a hair in the proper direction to get the belt tracking perfect. As long as alignment is within 1/8" on either side, you'll never notice.

That is what I though about doing. Tweek it slightly to the left so the belt will track OK. Thanks

I had the same problem with my axle 1/8 off after they installed new tires tried to make it correct but the belt hit the tire. I went and got some pulley spacers. Could only get a 1/16 closer with out belt rubbing outer edge of front sprocket.

what kind of tire? if its a metzler they you have to grind the lip off. I did this by raising my rear wheel spinning it and the same time using my grinder to cut the lip off. The next time I did it without the wheel mounted.

seems like a larger spacer would offset the wheel and may cause adverse handling problems. Just saying.

Hey Hoat I just put a spacer between the belt sprocket and the wheel 1/16 doesn't change where the wheel is just the belt:cheers:
