So I'm undoing all my wiring in anticipation of my new ehc arriving. I have the bike up on my stand when I hear a clicking from my rear wheel as I turn it. I have a video. Can I upload it?

It worked for me. Kinda sounds like the belt. Does it make the sound gif you turn the tire the other way?

Makes it either way you turn it.

Also watch the belt as you rotate is around the pulleys. The teeth should be aligned with the grooves.

Teeth seem to be aligned. Belt deflects about 3/8
With the tire in the air 3/8 is pretty damn tight. It will be very tight when bike is down.
Can you move the tire laterally? Wondering if it's bad bearings.

For peace of mind change the bearing.
With good quality bearings made in the USA...

From the vid it sounds like the belt being far too tight..

I guess that will be my next project. After I'm done with this ehc. But before that I still have to get the new carb I installed tuned. Thanks to all for your input. You guys have really given me the courage to work on this thing myself. I'm going to go thru the service manual and start looking at this rear wheel situation. Thanks again to all .
