How is the handling? I need a new front and just put an Avon on the rear but I'm sure in 3k miles I'll need a new rear too so mine as well match next year.

Do we have anyone with 3000+ miles on one curious how it's holding up. Last Avon was about 3000 Miles no split but caught a blade on the freeway. Regardless the damn tire wears odd. Looks like it's overinflated but never more than 40lbs in it.

This only happens on my 300. The 250 never looks like this wears even steven on the rigid.

Looks familiar, my Avon did 4000 miles in one year with good tire pressure. Nitrogen for air. Avon says the will warranty. I don't think my results will be any different next year. Very interested in other solutions also....

I´ve been always running 42 psi in the rear.... the wear is all even.... that´s very weird....

I agree with more is better than less pressure. I do lots of mtn riding.my 4000 mile, one year old tire ,won't be a safe ride next year

Ya really care about $100,- when it comes to your tires? Metzler has proven itself over and over and although they wear a bit odd if you ride them hard they have a grip you can depend on both when it comes to hard braking and high speed turns. I scraped the daylight out of my bike but has never had any doubt that the Metzler tire would keep me going, and keeping me safe. I might be biased since they sponsored me when I was racing, but I for one would never put anything but Metzler on my bike.

If I can get similar performance with a compromise why not save the $100.
Rarely am I over 70 so speeds not a huge issue.

I ordered one and am going to give it a shot.

I'm with ya on that one, and I never have scraped the pegs or pipes, if anything, I'm usually 5-10 under the limit, no hurrys

Well I have scraped the pegs but, I have the 2.5" extentions (forward), and the 2 in peg extentions (to the side)

had the same thing happen on a 300 i got from curtis he told me 40 psi was to much pressure ,made me eat it.
