Rear tire on K-9

Well looks like I'm about due for a new tire on my Dog.
Was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Shinko 300/35-18

BikeBandit has it for over $100 less then the Metzler 880 XXL.

Be nice to save that extra cash if its any good. I've already given up on the Avons with the experience I and others have had.

Any thoughts?

I have almost 2000 miles on mine and it looks almost brand new if I get a chance I'll take pics so far I'm very pleased with the performance and the longevity

I would definitely give one of them a try next time I need a rear but I have no experience with one but like you, I won't go Avon

Do we have anyone with 3000+ miles on one curious how it's holding up. Last Avon was about 3000 Miles no split but caught a blade on the freeway. Regardless the damn tire wears odd. Looks like it's overinflated but never more than 40lbs in it.

This only happens on my 300. The 250 never looks like this wears even steven on the rigid.

i had 5K on this Metz before I ran over something that put a hole in it big enough to put a pencil in it, but you can see the odd wear on this also

Looks like it's running with too much air.

That's what I thought but I checked it with 2 gauges and always no more than 40lbs. I might start running my new one at 35lbs because I'm seeing the same wear pattern on this one too. Can't imagine both my gauges are off the same.

I´ve been always running 42 psi in the rear.... the wear is all even.... that´s very weird....

Looking at Ker & Eric´s pics.... do you guys ride on any curvy/mountain roads every now and then? It seems to me these tires of yours have been rolling on straight strips only!

Haha there is a lot of straight roads in Texas, yes. But I do my fair share through the hills.

with a crown cause its wearing on the left side also, but I DON'T trail ride in the dirt with it

Only 3, if I would use an air wrench I would have it down to 13 minute starter switch over
