Since I got nothing but time I also wanted to check something else.

Now I looked this up on JP Cycles and another website and both show the same the load range for the Shinko is 937lbs whereas the load range for the Avon is 1201lbs. If your riding 2 up and with luggage or just with a lot of luggage you will probably exceed 937 lbs. K9 is rated at 716 lbs from the factory. So anyone over 222 lbs would exceed Shinkos recommendation without luggage

I'm trying to find the documentation on the Shinko website to confirm for sure. Just hard on a phone.

Looks like ya can load up 504# more before you hit the weight limit on the rear, not taking into consideration that the front will also bear some of the additional 504#, That's some heavy duty 2 up and luggage if ya ask me.

So do you use 1 oz. or 2 of Dyna Beads in the front tire? The Mastiff front tire is a 120 and that is that is the cut off for one oz and the start up for 2. Seems like I read someone used one but had to add another oz.

I will check with you when she is ready to buy, but it's gonna be a while. She has a few surgeries on the slate for the foreseeable future. Thanks!
Sure thing, they are not advertised for sale, but Sue tells me all the time that they need to go..:oldhardlaugh:

I personally am a fan of metzeler! Hugs a lot better and rides about the same.. I had a metzeler and switched to Avon because it made no sense to have that expensive tire sitting back there that had to be shaved. So really Avon is the only way to go do me until Metzeler gets it figured out. But good luck with that shinko broham!
