I think there is a hidden agenda here, Franco, are you trying to get some of us members to throw in some funds for you to pay for Andrews trip over there to work on your bike? Be honest, I think we figured it outThat´s why in my original Post I said:

I like the idea, why don't we think up some guide lines, and post them. Then we can weed through them and come up with a model, that everyone agrees with, and see what happens.

For those who don't know, I'd like to mention that this wonderful forum/family did pay for a hernia surgery for me. I had no insurance and no extra money. It was one of the most touching things that has ever happened to me and I will never ever forget it and will always be eternally grateful. Love you guys!
As for a Big Dog...that is on the short list entitled 'When I win the Lottery!'

Yes, that my idea of where to start building this baby... we need a Moderator/ Administrator to give us some clues on how we can make the best use of the Forum tools?

where there is free money, there will be abuser. One should first pay to get into the pool, like in insurance… and then we should have a guy or two to verify the actual incident…. Sure I can afford 20 or 100 bucks, but I would not like to finance somebody’s new bike if he just runs over it with truck because EHC is broken (i’m getting old and don’t trust people any more).
If we are really thinking of helping a brother, why limit it to bikes? there are much more important things in life, like Babe’s operation…
Do we need a “system” for that? Can’t we just help a brother - or sister, when help is needed, case by case?

Something like "Would you be interested in participating in the Big Dog Biker Insurance Scheme"? once if set up properly, of course.

I see you already went ahead with your poll and we are the first two to vote yes. I just started wondering if we shouldn't funnel our donations towards a person of our choice? For example, say we wanted to help Andrew with his travels, or Curtis with a new replacement "EHC" research, or let's not forget our famous Bikerbabe Kathy (We are all winners here with Kathy posing on a Big Dog of her choice since she has the awesome vision of a good photo shoot). Finally, maybe we could fund Raywood's bike maintenance with his supervision so he doesn't keep hurting himself during his healing process!

I can understand there may be abuse. But, heck, in my case....I already pay enough taxes to fund a family of four as an example and I don't get to choose which family gets my money or what my money is used for by our government.
