I'm going to throw out some guidelines that I would like to see. You guys can add to or take away from this list.
1. There needs to be a lead dog. Someone who has the final yes - no vote.
2. The Recipient needs to have been a contributing member for X amount of time, or X amount of threads.
3. Define contributing
4. The fund should be set up like the troop support, and/or forum support.
This reminds me, I have heard of insurance companies that are set up for small groups or organizations, to help cover what there insurance won't. Kind of like Aflac. Anyone ever seen this?
5. The amount given, not to exceed what is needed, excluding shipping and taxes.
6. There needs to be away to verify this
7. The Recipient should be submitted for voting, by someone other than himself.
We may be putting to much thought into this also. I believe if the need ever arises, you would be surprised at what would happen.
