I think I may have found the source of the problem. I've had sporadic electrical issues with this bike ever since I bought it (used). The previous owner had removed the turn signals. While troubleshooting the bike last year I found he was a little sloppy on his rear turn signal removal and dressed up some potential shorting issues. When I pulled the 4250 from the bike there was a nice little hole burned through the sealant on the bottom of the module. On the top side, I noticed the capacitor next to the oil/neutral/turn switch diagnostics LED was blown. The odd part though was what looked like moisture corrosion on some of the traces under the sealant, which leads me to believe whatever caused it blow happened a long time ago. After pulling the module I traced all the harness connectors and found no shorts on the bike. I'm hoping it just finally failed and this is the end of my electrical issues. I priced the 4250 module from my local dealer for $183, which I'm assuming is a decent price. I'm going to roll with that for now and hope for the best. Thanks for the inputs!
