The 5/16" bolts are torqued to 18 ft lbs.
Another way you can adjust the clutch is by loosening your cable adjustment all the way...run the clutch pushrod all the way in till it stops with light drag and keep it there. Then, tighten your cable adjustment up until you have NO play at lever and tighten up the cable adjustment. Then, go back down to clutch pushrod and back it out 1/4 turn and you will be at your adjustment.
I've used this procedure on several Big dogs that were having problems with the normal adjustment procedure.
Another thing to look at is the throw out bearing. Do you know if it's good?

I adjust from zero to 1/8th or less, my drag issue is due to over filling the primary I believe, but while I'm at it I'm going to take some shim out of the clutch. I found my Bandit paperwork...
Thanks,
