question on adjusting clutch rod

i have a 05 ridgeback that i installed a bandit carrier and clutch in the spring. also put in 28oz amsoil synthetic gear oil. everything seemed fine at first. only problem was finding neutral when stopped. so now that the weather has gotten much cooler when i put it in gear the first time bike wants to lunge, once warmed up it is fine.

so currently i have the clutch rod adjustment to spec 1/4 ,,,,which way or how much would i change this to solve the problem

thanks

I think your supposed to have 32oz in the primary. Bandit highly recommends using Spectro Golden 80w. Otherwise keep tinkering with your adjustment until you get it where you like it.

does the bike creep with the clutch in after warm-up? if not, could just be the plates sticking together after sitting for awhile until you get them broke loose, that is kinda normal.

john at bandit thought the plates are sticking as well...he recommended getting the amsoil out and putting in the spectro ....

john said the clutch could run dry,,,and that the chain is the only thing needing lubed and that 14oz. will work and thats what they have been doing

Guys 24-26 fluid ounce of your choice of 75w140 or the heavy shock proof.
Adj in until the clutch rod seats then back off 1/4 of a turn.

i did it until it touched,,,,explain seats ....please
as you run it in, you will feel it tighten up. that could be a "false bottoming" that happens most of the time. run it in a little more until you know it has hit home and play with it until it is just barely touching home, then back it out approximately 1/4 turn. ("home" is the inside of the throw-out bearing.)

I have had issues just like your since I went with the Bandit. How many shims do you have in it? I have two but thinking about taking one out and seeing if the helps.
