Where I live now(west TN), I don't have a doghouse for the dog. She's spent the first week home covered under one of the breathable, water resistant motorcycle covers. It rained/snow stormed here the 2nd night after I bought it. Good thing I planned ahead, eh? I didn't remove the cover for about 4 days(while the snow melted/temps worked their way back up).
I plan on getting a storage facility for it in the next few days.
Now that I've removed the cover and rode some today, I notice the allen style bolt heads sticking out from the top of the heads are discolored. Not sure I'd call it rust, but looks like it is headed that direction quickly. Could this be due to being covered with all the moisture that was in the air?
Is there a cleaner that would be easy to get down into the bolt heads to remove the discoloration? Am I stuck with it? Are they simple to replace if that's what I have to do?
Does anybody else get stuck storing their Dog outside and know of a more breathable alternative as far as a cover goes?
Oh, I forgot to mention. I paged around looking for the info already on here somewhere, but couldn't find it. If it's already on here, a link would be sweet.
Thanks ya'll :2thumbs:
