Here is the one I had on my 03 Mastiff back a few years ago. That ole 107 had severe blowby and I put this puck can on but all is did was fill up and then vent/blow it all down the side of the tranny and on back. But I was commuting 100 miles a day and put over 24,000 miles on this bike in about a year and a half. I was draining it regularly too.
I ordered it out of the "Jireh" catalog for about $75 bucks.

But your 2005 doesn't breathe like the older dogs... you just need to run that rear line to the floor. If you are getting enough oil out the rear to need a puke can you have a larger issue.
There have been some oil carryover problems with S&S 4 1/8" bore,SSW motors. It's no secret.
The way I solve the problem is:
1-Remove vacuum hose and hose barb from front head, block off hole(pipe plug),cap off vacuum fitting on intake manifold.
2-Add longer hose to rear head after the 1 way valve(black & white don't put 1 way valve on backwards),and run longer hose to atmosphere(no filter).
3-Remove 1 of the pipe plugs from rear of case(right side by oil pump),install a hose barb, hose and another 1 way valve(black & white S&S,or car pcv valve)don't put it on backwards, and vent to atmosphere.NO FILTERS !!!!!!!!!!
This WILL solve your problem.
FWIW,when filters are used, most people let them clog up,and don't service them frequently enough. :(

Ok John, that will work for the SSW motor. I don't have a problem with mine and like the lines plugged into the intake to keep it clean.

But my 03........... :bang: That thing leaked like my old Shoveldead. Terrible blowby.

Any magic solutions to the 04 and earlier bikes with the Evo breather style systems?

:2thumbs:

Ray,
If the motor is HEALTHY,clean breather bore & breather, and the rocker box seals are ok,ring seal, etc.then you're only shot is to follow #3 above,in conjunction with your head breathers.

John - can you explain the advantage the advantage of capping off the front cylinder vacuum hole - I know S&S say it is up to you whether or not you do that and I haven't as yet - I think Al has done that. Also why to put a separate case breather on? Thanks John

At times the heads don't drain quick enough.Couple that with a 4 1/8" piston creating major pressure on the downstroke, and you have a weak breather system overwhelmed.Raise compression, and sometimes that becomes the straw that breaks the camel's back.Intake manifold takes in a lot of oil through the vacuum fitting,etc.etc.
Breathing out the back,in conjunction with the heads, solves the problem, and is usually worth 2 to 3 hp.as well.:2thumbs:
