Ok, I want to add a puke can to my 05' Chopper and I want to see what some of you guys have done. Post up some pics and descriptions of what you have done. I'm not sure which way I want to go yet. May make one but need some ideas. Marc

Do a search on this. CC Rainman has a very nice set up. I actually just one on last night.

But your 2005 doesn't breathe like the older dogs... you just need to run that rear line to the floor. If you are getting enough oil out the rear to need a puke can you have a larger issue.

Have installed a small std breather from Autozone - hangs loose and kinda get's the job done. No oil spilage and adds a hint of color to the bike. You can see that in my image gallery.

Recently bought this GOLAN "breather" nicely made, small enough to mount just about anywhere - has ribs should you want to use clamps, ties, etc....check it out - have not yet installed it...

Breathers, Motorcycle Petcocks, Chopper Fuel Valves & Tank Selectors - Golan Products

These are NO "puke" cans but will serve the purpose.

Here are a couple ideas if you do your own.

I prefer the Jim Beam myself! How about you BBC?

I have the TP Engineering heads with the soft guides in them. I suspect that they are wearing and blowing enough vapor into my air cleaner (over a few weeks time) that the air filter gets soaked and starts to drip onto my heat shields. I am thinking of having the heads redone this winter and will go with the Wimmer can for now.

Well, while I had a serious problem with blow by on my 03 and even after installing the puke can it just fills up and blow all over the place so not really a fix.

Now I have same motor you have and I don't have a blow by problem at all. Motor is all original and has about 56,000 miles on it still with no problems.
You may want to look at the breather tubes and check valves and ensure you have no backups. Are you the original owner. Not a lot of postings here with blow by problems on newer models (05 and newer!).

I bought it new in July 05' I have 6K miles and don't run it to hard at all. Oil level is correct and I'm just not sure what else it could be... any ideas?

I wish I had more money.
Are you driving it in a low rpm range for an extended time? Lugging the motor will for sure cause the blow by.

I went ahead and put the Wimmer on and I think it looks and works pretty good. So far all I have got out of it was a little bit of condensed water. Here are a few pics.

had to scrub the bugs off the poor bike... they were everywhere! Had to snap the pics before the sun set and I lost the light. Never reset them. I just knew someone would pop me for that!
