OK guys we went down this road on the other site. There I posted as Bill Shoemaker, my name of course, and I told everyone about purchasing this carb in Myrtle Beach from Tim the sales man and Bruce the Designer/Owner did the install and tuning. What a POS. Here is my previous post...
Whatever01 had one installed during bike week in Myrtle Beach. I was with him when they hooked him for the sale. Promised the HP increase of 10-15 and no more decel popping. Told him they would install and tune it for him at 6pm at their site.
When we went to their site they were in an RV behind the Nascar Cafe. They had no real tools, we had to make a run for lock tite for them and they used a file to cut down the vent tube on the rear of the air cleaner plate. The manager came out of Nascar and told them they had to leave. These guys just set up shop and were staying on the parking lot.
They said it would take an hour to install and tune but it took them 4....
Note: you have to cut your throttle cables to install this carb....
Once the install was completed, Bruce the owner and designer of PSI Carbs tuned the carb himself for about 30 minutes, All tuning is done externally while riding the bike....When he finished the bike was shooting 2 ft flames out the back and their sales guy was screaming yeah, now run your buddy and see what happens...
Well as friends do we went out of the p lot and I smoked him...
When we returned to the display the next day they were not there.. Eddie Trotta said he asked them to leave because they had no sales permit and they were using his name as a sponsor and he didnt approve...
We found them, returned the carb in a brown bag and then we went on a scavenger hunt for cables....
May work for you, may not... Hope you have better luck...They did blame his bike for the poor performance...I think he had 7 or 800 miles on it at the time...
No problem with bike with the factory G carb... Thats whats back on it now modified by Zippers to G3 with Thunderjet...Runs strong...
