After changing my primary fluid and taking her for a spin I noticed a funny sound coming from the primary. Once she's warmed up and I slow down I here a humming sound it happens when I downshift from 3 to 2 to 1. When I press the clutch in, it goes away, when I let the clutch out, the buzzing sound comes back. Doesn't appear to happen when accelerating only down shifting.
I thinks it's probably my clutch pack needing rebuilt. Had to have the clutch pack rebuilt a few years back by an expert technician
. I looked at the wear on the disks when I had the primary cover off and it looked a bit warn for only having about 10k miles. But I really don't know what to look for to identify abnormal wear on a clutch disk. I did see any metal shavings or anything like that. I did not check the technical spec's though. Right now I'm considering doing away with the Baker and moving to open primary. But not the million dollar Baker. Too rich for my blood. Any thoughts would be very helpful.
Thanks, T
