Polishing Gloves

I thought of an idea for polishing aluminum in those hard to reach places and ended up ordering some cotton gloves on lines.

- 100% cotton and they did as good a job as any other rag
- I liked the fact that you could use your sense of touch to make sure the material was actually touching the medal
- Was nice for getting in those in tight spots like around the foot pegs
- Cheap! $6 a dozen (25 cents a glove); I bought 2 dozen w/ shipping $17
- I use one side of the glove and then flip it
- Only thing is they say they are large and they fit me perfect, but I would say my hands aren't very large. The knitting does seem to stretch pretty good though. I am sure there are other manufacturers out there also.

Here's some pix and a link.

Down here in Texas we call those roping gloves and they work well like you say, if you put a latex glove on before putting them on it will keep your fingers from turning black.

only thing with the latex gloves is your hands will sweat like a m/f and end up staining the aluminum you just polished. worth a try, though.

I've never had sweat come out from under a latex glove..
wear them when i use gorilla glue on wood projects (best glue for teak and other high oil woods) and the sweat would pour out of them after about 15 minutes. even when using talcum powder in them to help keep dry.
