Hey folks,my 05 Ridgeback is doing some crazy stuff, when you turn the key on all the turn signals just blink and the gauge cluster and the horn just constantly tries to honk, the ehc also just blinks and when u hit the run and start button you get nothing but the instrument cluster resets,it doesnt try to crank and i cant figure out whats going on.I rode the bike a couple weeks ago and it was fine and now this, any info is greatly appreciated and thanks ahead of time....

Check the volts on your battery, was it on a tender? Sounds like your battery is giving up the ghost...

Yes its been on a tender and I bought it last summer but I havent checked the volts on it because I have had it on the tender and it seems to be fine.

just remember, if the charging system is working the way it should be, it will take about a 20 mile ride just to charge the battery from the work it did to crank the motor. if the voltage reads less than about 12.8 volts, it's close to time for a new one and the more cca you have the better with 270 being the minimum.

Didn't see if you had checked your voltage but this is almost the same thing I had happen just a couple of weeks back. Hope it helps.
OK heres what i found....
Battery voltage 13.7( UNHOOKED) and the battery is new (4 mths old.)
I disconnected the battery, starter lead, all battery wires hot and ground and the EHC. cleaned all contacts . The EHC had old dielectric grease( looked real flakey) in it so i used a small fine brush and got all the old gunk out and used Q-Tips for the rest. Loaded some NEW Dielectric in the connectors (all inside the battery area) and reassembled

:whoop:SUCCESS :whoop: reassembled everything and WALLAH all lights work and she fires right up.. Only thing i can think of is a bad connection on the EHC. The reason i say this is i cleaned all the battery contacts BEFORE anything else and this didn't fix the problem. So i think the ehc may have had a OPEN circuit somehow???? Only thing i can think of is vibration as a factor for this to happen. I hope this helps someone else down the road. Oh and after this i checked the EHC lights and only have 2 that come on now. CONTROLLER ON / POWER
:whoop:NOW LET'S RIDE:whoop:
I Want too thank KaptinAmerika for the help....
