PDM Electrical System Kit Wiring Diagram and Parts

I have a failed hand controller interface (HCI) on my Mastiff. It was installed by a previous owner and I do not have any documentation on the system. I believe my HCI unit is bad and I cannot find a place to purchase a replacement. I know the purpose of the HCI but I have no wiring diagrams to verify that it really is the HCI that has failed. Furthermore if I did have a good wiring diagram I could build my own replacement HCI. Any ideas on where to get the HCI or wiring diagrams? Thanks

I gave same problem with hci. Not available anymore. I have 2 failed now... Grrrrrrr
I have pdm wiring diagram but not of internals of hci....

Thanks for the information, it sounds like there is a need for a replacement. I will do my best to try and reverse engineer the HCI, then build it and test it. Thanks again.

Good luck and keep us updated on your progress. I've had my PDM a little over 4 years and 30,000 miles. So far no problems, but I'm sure its coming.

So I have my bike back up and running. The HCI unit has failed to supply my VFI module with 12V power, it was hovering around 2.3V. Using Mickeetwo's wiring diagram I have a good understanding on what the HCI is suppose to do. Since only my Run and Stop functions were not working I decided not to recreate the entire HCI. I choose to just add three micro relays (2x SPDT & 1 SPST) and bypass the HCI for the Run and Stop functions. If I could figure of the part #'s for the Molex looking plugs, I probably would recreate the HCI unit one day. Although it would be a improvement if I replace these cheap plugs with sealed plugs.

You don't want one, there are far better options available now. I have an ESC from a vendor you can find on eBay.

I had one, drove me batty every time I pulled a side cover off to see that mess of wires.. Now I'm very happy, nice clean install with great reliability..
