Passenger peg won't stay up

The right passenger peg on my 04 Pitbull won't stay up and falls down when I'm riding it. I'm guessing someone here has had this problem and found a remedy (other than new pegs)... I've been putting quite a bit of money into my new Dog and don't want to spend more right now!

I bought a new bike and had passenger pegs installed before I picked it up anyway one side was doing the same thing as you described. So I just torque the shit out of it and it has yet to come down again.

remove the screw holding the peg, clean the threads real good, apply some fresh blue loctite, and re-torque it until it is a little tighter and doesn't fall down. not too tight.

Take it of the clevis were it rotates and there are little nylon washers..put another washer in basicly shim it...then tighten srew back up with some loctite blue.. that's what I would do...

Yep thats what I did. I ordered some new nylon washers also and replaced the old ones that did the trick. If that doesn't work or can't find the correct shim send me you addy and I will send you two nylon washers.

Key not too tight! I stripped mine :bang:

Yep exactly - add a nylon washer or two so you don't have to over torque

A wave washer on one side of the peg works the best. No overtightening required. They can be a bit tricky to get in but once its done its done.
