was wondering if any of you do this or what your thoughts are on it? use walmart for example, at the end of the parking isles there is the space with the slash marks painted on the ground, basically the area isn't big enough for a car spot so they mark it out. I see bikes park in that area all the time though, do any of you do this? is it legal or do you ever have any problems or know any one that's gotten in trouble over it? I have only done it like twice just cause I'm uncertain about doing it. thoughts and opinions??

I do it all the time. I prefer there to be a light pole or something there so no one cuts the corner and takes out the bike.

I park there and never had any issues. I also park in spots like that on the bases and haven't been bitched out by the security forces. I would think they would rather us park in areas like that than take a car spot. JMHO

Shopping on a K9? What are you buying, gum? Yeah, I've done it. My rationale is the area isn't marked "No Parking." Plus, I figure the bike is easier to see there rather than stuck between two SUVs, pickups, or minivans. Fight the power. Park on the stripes.

I park there as well, But In Jersey there are laws about parking. So If The lot has a sign that says " Parking in designated spaces between the lines only" I'll park in a spot. The sign is there to stop the douche bags that take up 2 spots. It is one of my biggest pet peeves to see some jerkoff purposely take up 2 spots.

cool to know. yeah it would be better than taking up a parking spot. and yeah I get annoyed with people that take 2 spots, took the family to the zoo today and seen no less than at least 10 vehicles that were taking two spots, pissed me off. wanted to go get shoe polish and write across their whole windshields " move the hell over!"

I go to Wally World all the time on the dog. I usually park on a large concrete pad that is situated between the main doors and the fenced area for their lawn and garden section. Never had any problems.

I always park up next to the Building where they have Swing sets, sitting areas, etc and rarely in the parking log. I make sure not to block anything or park in front of propane racks and the other hazardous equipment. Nobody says anything at my friendly Wal-Mart or Winn-Dixie. I like to think that they like it since it improves the scenery and causes a spike in daily sales!

If you park up on the front island don't you have guys circling when you come out? I'm not antisocial but I can only explain what a Big Dog is so many times before it gets old. I park at the far end of the parking lot where there are open spaces all around. Most Walmart fatties won't walk more than 50 yards to there car.

Hmm, I've only noticed women around my bike! But, if a guy wants to shoot the shit, he better bust out a cold one for me to hang around.

My boss bought 100 bumper stickers that are low stick (so they don't ruin paint). They say "I park like an idiot" and show a car parked across lines. I have put them on a couple of cars! :2thumbs:

She is just trying to make Mr. Wright avoid doing something Wrong! Our Wal-Mart installed a sloping curb so I could ride up on the large concrete area. It must be twenty feet across. I only asked for 5!:roll:
