So do you know if the "wrongly modified" starters were used originally from Big Dog? I can see oil on the bottom of my starter if I get up under and look at it, it never drips on the ground, at least not in the garage, so I am wondering if there's a problem or if it's just a bad seal or sumth'n? It ain't a really big deal, yet.Shit some of the wrongly modified starters are still being sold as new ones, my original starter did not have the oil relief in it, but the problems started after I noticed a busted starter nose from my clutch hub nut coming lose and chewing up the starter ring gear. The new starter I bought had the relief cut too deep and filled with oil and then my starter nightmares started. Its finally straightened out![]()
