open Primary

This thread is from 2015. Cannot get open primary for BigDog motorcycles at this time unless you find a used one. They are out there but few and far between.

Yes that is what I have found out and it is a huge bummer.

Where did you get it at ? Are they still available?

I think your the guy I talked to the other day. The OP in the picture above is an Ultima. It fits a Harley soft tail, but can be modified to fit 04 and older Big Dogs.

Yes sir I believe was. You must be the guru with all that knowledge. How much modification would that ultma take. I have a mill and lathe etc. Would it use the stock transmission.

So I didn’t actually catch what year & model of BigDog motorcycle you have. If you have a 2004 or earlier you can get a BDL open primary for it. If you have a 2005 or later the options are limited. I don’t think the Ultima works on the ‘05 +.

mines an 06 K9.
