seems like the same is happening here on the forum that is happening to the country, the rights of the one are stepping on the rights of the many. going to hell in a bucket.

You have to realize :whore:ing just like in whoring real life is one of the oldest professions on the internet! (since it went to the general public.)

Once you have it apart post a pic, I just guessed it might have fried. Won't know till you take it apart. So we may have more relevant info after further detail.

Quite frankly I would have assumed the tach coukd have taken a little more beating than a loose battery connection...but we shall see

Well the dog is running strong (no tach still even after reset). Took a little loop to use up some gas since I have to pull the tank anyway (got a new fuel filter/regulator/fuel pump) to install. Updates to follow, likely tomorrow.

Update - No pics yet but it looks like the low fuel light isn't working any more either. drained the tank and the light isn't coming on when I turn on the key like it normally would if I was low on fuel.

That brings up a good point...does any lights work? If the tach ring is blown no lights will work, no neutral, oil or high/low. Are all out?

The check engine light, neutral, turn signal indicators are working so power is good to the board.
tach and low fuel appear not to be working.

The short on the one I replaced was bad enough to trip a relay within the Rip 2 and keep the bike from starting

Update -- the Annunciator is toast one of the chips is fried (not capacitor) near where the damage is in the pic that was already posted by someone else.

Low fuel still is out but I can probably get around that -- might need a transistor and a resistor to fix that worse case.

While I have it apart, I'm replacing the fuel filter and doing some other work. Be ordering new annunciator from Curtis today.
