Ok, need help again. Transmission.

Ok, so I did a really, really fucked up, stupid thing. I was changing my primary and transmission fluids. First time I had done this on the dog. Long story short, I put way, way too much transmission fluid in the trans. I noticed after about 30 miles, that I had very little rear brake power. Got off the bike, and noticed trans. fluid everywhere! So I go back home, then I read over Gasman's thread on "How to service your Big Dog" and realize all my heartache is my own damn fault. So I drained the tranny and cleaned everything up. Then I added the correct amount (20oz.) of fluid back into the trans. I rode the next day, and noticed my rear wheel had fluid all over it again. So I cleaned everything up again, thinking it would stop. Well I have rode two days since then, and after I ride, I have excessive amounts of fluid on my rearwheel. rear of frame, rear calliper, rotor. More on the brake side than on the pulley side. So, what the fuck have I done? Blown a seal somewhere? Any suggestions?

What oil type of oil did you put in the transmission and what type and how much did you put in the primary? Brand, weight, & quanty? 20oz in the transmission and 1 quart in the primary.

Clean it all up, ride around the block, and find the leak. Pull off the belt guard so you can see back there better. Double check the drain plug first.

1 quart Revtech Primary lube in the primary, Bel-Ray 75W (I think it was 75w) trasmission fluid. I put close to a quart in at first, then drained it completely and put 20oz. back in. I have never done anything this damn stupid, I got in a hurry, and fucked up.

Just wondering if the oil was foaming and blowing out the vent tube. Check and be sure the vent tube isn't kinked or plugged up. If the oil only gets on the left side of the bike then it could be the trans seal on the primary side. Also check the drain plug on the primary, the o-ring might be messed up. Which oil level are you having to add to after you ride?

I havent yet. I thought it had stopped. Since I noticed the fluid on rear wheel, etc., its been parked. Anyone have a pic of the vent tube and its location?

I would guess the tranny still has excess fluid in the top shifter sprawl area and is still venting out the vent tube. Really doubt overfilling it would blow out any seals unless the vent was blocked and it built up pressure.
I would think it will start tapering off soon though.
You can see the vent tube on the primary side next to the shift arm. It's the black tube that looks like an oil line.

vent tube is horseshoe shaped stiff rubber hose exiting out of the top of the tranny. Mines on the primary side (clutch side of bike) just above where the shift linkage used to be (have jockey shift now)

I'm sure its fine. Dealer did something similar to mine at the 5k service. just before I left for laughlin last year. Bike blew oil for 500 miles till I got home

Well, she's started puking tranny fluid again. After I did a spiffy disassemble/clean-up job too. I talked to Baker, they suggested I pull the top cover off the tranny and clean out any excess fluid, then if it continues, it's probaly a seal or gasket. Guess I will go check the "How to's" and see if I can get some insight to pulling the top cover off.

I think, and I stress "think" its coming from the vent tube. I told JT at Baker i was thinking of taping a ziplock bag in the end of the hose to see if it caught anything, he said that was a good idea. So, I reckon I will try that later. I cant find anything in the "technical' section about pulling the cover off the tranny. If anyone knows of anything, Id appreciate a post with a link if possible.
