Oil Pressure

Greetings to all of you.
I was wondering if anyone has an idea about oil pressure on my K9 2007. 117 cu inch. I finally got the chopper started up. I have replaced all
the oil lines and filter. The idiot oil light comes on on idle and the additional oil pressure gauge doesn't indicate any pressure. When I rev
the engine the oil gauge shoots up to 40 psi and the red oil light goes off but shortly there after the pressure gauge drops and the oil light
comes on. Very strange.

Sounds like you got the wrong oil filter or maybe not...should be a wix 51225 or equivalent number to it

I wondered that also...plus i wondered if the oil pump was priming properly since the oil lines had been replaced

Thanks for the info. The oil pump is fine, I had primed it.

Could also be as small a thing as the rpm at idle is not at or above, I think, 950 rpm.might want to check the manual.
