Looks to be Rvt red. If it was loctite it would probably be blue ( removable) kind. Either way you really don’t need sealant. Man you are replacing everything. Should be nice when you are done

Yes...everything. By tearing everything apart I've found several problems that I didn't know about. I've mentioned the neck Bearings already. Also, one of the oil Lines was tore up pretty bad, about 6 inches of the steel braid was ripped. No idea how that happened but really glad I found it. When I get it all back together I'll take the bike back to the paint shop for some frame touch up. Primarily where the exhaust bracket bolts to the frame. You may have the same issue when you install yours. Also, my paint guy is going to remove the primary inner/outer for replating. I'm going to replace everything inside also (Stator, clutch, chain...etc). Then...finally it will be ready to go to another shop for the Ceramic Coating. I agree...it should be virtually a new K9 and look really nice. I also ordered the 3" extended handlebars from Donna. I'm 5'-10", and I think the extension will feel better on my back.

Since you are doing so much I would take the bare frame in for a new powder coat. Easy to do while it’s torn apart

The frame looks good except for where the exhaust bracket goes. My paint guy said he could take care of that for me. There are a couple more spots as well but they are minor. So far, the project is going pretty good. I had a problem with a bolt on the front wheel Rotor but since I have new ones I just cut it off. I got a set of Tribal Forward Controls for $500, still in the box. Since they're Chrome, I'll need to have the passenger Peg Mounting Brackets chromed as well. I also plan to have the carb chromed. Eric, who used to work with Donna had his K9 done (photo) , so I know they can do it. It's been a slow process because I can only work on weekends and weather permitting. I think everything is going well.
