Oil leaking from this line. What does this line do?

This braided line comes from the bottom of the motor. Then connects to the billet connector. Then the rubber hose just zip ties to the frame.
1. What is this line for
2. What does the billet coupler due if any thing.

I get oil dripping out of the rubber end. Should it be capped.

Oil leaking from that line is expected it's your bottom crank breather.

I have never seen a check valve on one however. I thought that bottom breather should go both ways if you do open it up and not restricted. Suck and Blow!

The longer the bike sits the more oil will come out of it, the first time you start it.

I came across this old post and because I have a 2003 chopper, I wanted to show you how my bike is set up. Got the bike like this. Don't know if it's stock but it work fine until I push it hard then I'll get oil out the head breather.

Mr. Wright

Knows some things
That is quite the set up. And dear I say ugly. Sorry. If it was me, I would replace the air cleaner with one that has a vent bracket that bolts to the heads. ( See picture) Then you can plug off the one down on the crank case. HDM has them in stock, for a good price. It won't look like mine, and you can point it forward.
