Oil leak from rear pushrod

Energy One
changed the oil on the big bear about a week ago and while riding last week I had oil leaking from the rear pushrod in 2 places. At the bottom of the pushrod near the tappet and from the middle of the pushrod. Thought may have overfilled the oil tank.
Decided to drain oil out of the crankcase and try again. Sure enough more oil leaking.
orings are shot in the pushrod?
Also I used some high temp silicone around the air filter to stop oil from misting out of the breather tubes on the air filter, really wondering if the motor may not be breathing and causing the oil to leak? Really leaning towards the seals being worn! May have to remove the pushrods and check them out. I have never done a pushrod replacement. I think it's doable?

The middle of the pushrod means its probably leaking from the top seal, it's just leaking down the tube and pools on the flange in the middle.

You can pop the cover off and try and reseat the seals which would only take about 5 minutes although it probably won't fix it.

To replace the seals buy some quickee pushrods and just cut out the ones you have and you don't have to take your rockers off or even the tappet guides to change seals. The new rods are about $130 but save you boat loads of time now and in the future. Rememeber at 20k S&S recommends installing new lifters

20,000 miles huh for new lifters? Hmmm, I am at 21,000 now, guess I know what I will be doing this winter, wait a minute, we don't have winters that stop me from riding, screw that! I'm riding till the wheels fall off! :whoop:JK, I am already planning to do an overhaul soon and new lifters are gonna be part of that.:old2:
