This is the air filter.K&N Filter E-3226...Thats from Gas Man...Not Sure what the BDM filter is

Yes, thats what the (C) stands for.thank you, as I'm having trouble getting the bike to a dealer. Is that
a chrome oil filter?

Why pull the crank sensor??? i am about to do my first oil change on my 04 Riedgback and did not know about this crank sensor thing..Thanks in advanceK&N Chrome with end nut for Evo engine - KN171C It's much easier to remove with a socket wrench.
Don't forget to pull the crank sensor before you spin off the filter.

With the K&Ns and other onger filter you have to remove the crank sensor cause its in the way for removal and installation. you can try to do the K&N swap w/o pulling the filter but you won't get far.

Only 05 and newer have the crank sensor. Earlier modols used the cam instead.thanks Chris...I live and learn!!!![]()
Here is a link to a group buy that's been done a few times but seems to have dried up. The link to the filter website is there and it lists lots of dealers you can go through. You'll like the filter and one good think is you won't have to remove the crank sensor to remove and clean the filter.Ray, Can you post the washable oil filter you have on your bike and whewre to buy it?

BBD... just noticed you put up 171... that is NOT the correct filter. That is the twin cam filter.K&N Chrome with end nut for Evo engine - KN171C It's much easier to remove with a socket wrench.
