OK, I know that I'm probably going to sound clueless but I just don't want to get this wrong.
I need to change the oil on my 2008 AIH Texas Chopper. How do I do it correctly.
What oil filter should I use? I've got a Hiflo 170C.
Is Mobil 20w-50 V-twin Synthetic good?

as far as the oil, mobil 1 syn. is what i use.
as for the filter, you might want to check with toobadcustoms, listed on the home page as a supporting dealer. don't know about AIH but Mick should have the #'s

As far as doing the oil change. Do I just drain it from the fill cap, replace the filter and fill the oil back up or is there more to it? I've done it on my 03 but I just don't want to screw it up.

Normally the drain plug is in the bottom of the oil tank, some (including myself) use an oil scavenger unit to get all the old oil out of the motor, but that is not neccessary. The oil you mentioned is what I use. Yeah man find the right filter and you should be OTAY!

I am ashamed to say I don't have the info you need.

I got mine used with 437 miles and had them throw in the first service when I got it.

The second oil change I had my HD dealer change it just to watch my tech friend have to test ride a chopper (he is not fond of fat tire choppers :D ).

As for oil I use redline 20/60 synthetic.

Oh, I just dump the tank oil, not the sump. It is a tractor motor. I change at 2500 miles so getting every last drop is not needed.

With the bike level fill to the bottom of the oil fill neck.
