New rear tire?

Not sure if this fits in this thread but i need help in picking out a new rear tire. I would love another venom if they can be still found. if not who makes a good long lasting 250 rear tire?

Got both front and rear at Cycle Gear one day last week; rear was about $300, forgot what the front was; mounted and balanced both were $528; took a day to ship to the store here in Huntsville, AL.

i have 8k on this venom w a couple launches i have about 1 month left on this tire. So i think i am going to stick with the venoms

I got 14K on the original Venom on an 06 ridgeback. Purchased a Cobra last week. Hope I can get some decent mileage out of it.

That's a good price and the same as American Tire. I just paid $342 in Mississippi to have one overnighted!!! It was my own fault though

Metzler 300 cleared on my bike and I think you could shave a good 1/8" off the side and not effect the tire integrity. I know there's not alot of choices, I'm was just saying I would not put a Cobra 300 on my bike and if they were the only choice out there, my bike would sit.

There was another thread on this and I think Metzler changed their design and now they do not rub...

The Metzler 300mm does not come close to rubbing on my 07 Bulldog.
Just put it on a few weeks ago.

If I buy a Avon venom 300 while I still can what will be it's shelf line? I only have 3k on my existing Avon venom. I"m thinking it might sit there for a three years at least.

Shelve life is usually 5-6yrs after the build date. Keep it out of the sun. If your not a ride it like you stole it person, you can add a few yrs.
But where can you buy a Venom 300 these days? And I personally would not go with a 300 Cobra.

Looking for Avon Venoms in 250 up to 360 mm....? As well as Front units from 90 to 150mm....?

Many members on here with the Avon Cobras cracking, separating, low mileage which includes myself. My rear tire starting separating I decided to stick with Avon three weeks later the front tire has cracks and separating. This time I'm going with Metzler.

No disrespect however, I'll never buy another Avon..
