I myself have Not ever sold or been asked to order a Cobra series AVON ever since their inception to the market.
I have NO (ZERO) experience or malfunction/early wear/seperation or failure issue with the Venom Series tires.... but I cannot and will not comment on the Cobra series (as I dont sell or stock them) or the stated and alleged failure and early wear issue that you've posted.

I Believe you 100% and I hope that you are happy and pleased with Metzler-which is a Fine Tire with a Great Reputation .Get them Miles of Smiles and keep us posted dude:D

I thought the Venom tires are no being manufactured above a 150 series? Vince whats the manufacturing date on those tires?

Yes, I'm also curious to the manufacture dates on your venom 300 series. If they're not too old I would be interested in purchasing one. Tire size is 300/35VR18 AV72...

Brew the AV72 is the Corbra. The Venom is a 300/35/VR18 -42M R or something like that.

I see them online and seem to be pretty pricey.

Vince- Is Avon still manufacturing the Venoms or are they left over from previous runs? I actually had very good luck with the Venoms almost 9000 miles on the rear.

Good call erldawg, it's been so long since I've had a venom, guess I got excited hearing he had bought them in bulk amounts. I got 10,000 out of my last venom..:D

I called Vince and left messages and also PM'd him to get try and get a tire ordered if the Venom's still can be acquired. After no response from Vince, I have gone ahead and ordered a Metzler from my local dealer yesterday. I wish the Venoms were still available but the website for Avon does not show that this tire still is being produced.

I have been trying to log onto "The Tire Cave" to do a little comparison pricing on a (250)rear tire and cannot log on. Does anyone know if they went out of business?

4200 burn-out free miles on my Cobra last year before it was total shit. Seperating, bald piece of shit. Ridiculous piece of shit!

The Cobra's blow.....I've been through two Cobra's for the same mileage of one Venom. 15K. Avon changed something up. Just ordered a venom from motorcycletires.com. I'll see what shows up.

Anyone use dunlops? I have use venoms and cobra really wanted a metzler but no go for a 250? I just bought and mounted a Dunlop this is what I used on all my sport bikes in the past and I rode them like I stole them,,,

I went with the dunlfop elite 3 since there were no 250 venoms to be found. . It was a tight fit. We'll see how it does.
