New Models Top End Question

Energy One

I was reading a post on a cam change for a Mutt and wondered about something.

All the Carburetor bikes I have seen up to 2007 came with S&S Roller Rockers and .650 lift triple springs.

The Bulldog models in 2007 came with plain non-roller rockers and .585 lift single Beehive spring. This was the only EFI bike then.

What is in the new bikes on the top end now?

Did BDM follow this suit are all of them the same now?
Thanks,
Neil

They probably don't even know. THey told Alhall he had a 600 and no way... no how... he ended up with a 585

Request out to someone with a new scoot.
Pull one of your rocker boxes off and tell us what type of rockers and springs do you have. In fact, snap a few pics while you are in there in case something else has changed. Inquiring minds want to know. Could make a big difference in a cam upgrade total price.
Thanx....

Also S&S is using color coded paint marker stripes on the springs to identify the lift capacity. Sorry I don't know what the codes mean but I could possibly find out through a S&S rep. I also think that since S&S is doing all the motor building that it should be better controlled. Another question I would ask is what is the overall cylinder length and what size gaskets are used.

Just pull your rocker box cover and inspect the springs, mine shows 640 springs
