My first thought was to weld in a stock trans plate - get them anywhere (Pacho for one or even Daytec) - but all you have to do is drill the current plate to match a stock trans. Worked well. A stock starter hits the side covers, so went with a stealth low profile starter and fits perfect.
The RevTech trans is great -much better gear ration IMHO than the baker and 1/2 the price. Don't know about long term durability yet - If I blow this trans I'll get a Baker Torque Box - but I wanted to know everything would work first before dumping 4-5K on a trans... ya know? But for now the RevTech great... I think hype about "balanced drive" is between the ears and a marketing pitch. Bike handles just the same, take your hands of the bars and she goes straight.
So I'm pretty much done with this venture of removing every single BDM propriatary part on my bike - it is a stock generic chopper, the only thing BD on it is the the Vin # for cheap insurance
