New K9 roller

Energy One
I'm heading to R&R cycles to price a 147 evo and see if it fits. I dont think a dssc can handle that engine so I'm going to have to ask for some advice from the guys. 4K for the roller(they owed my a favor):flag: Risers and broom stick bars are ordered, accutronix foward controls. Color of the bike is killing me. I want to nickel plate or chrome the frame or black chrome the wheels. But honestly I was surprised that if you call these parts company and talk with them they give good deals. thanks for the intrest in my project any ideas or feedback is welcomed

You have an opportunity at this point to do what I did - cut off ends of handlebars & weld on stock HD ends - use standard grips & switches. Tweak the trans mount & go with normal trans - I'm using a RevTec 6, hyd clutch and BDL open primary. Best move I ever did - no propriatary anything

I think I would agree with this......why rewrite the book when you can cut and paste.....that was kinda funny...sorry been drinking a little capt. get alot more options if you use some harley standards. but you cant hardly beat Baker trans.

My first thought was to weld in a stock trans plate - get them anywhere (Pacho for one or even Daytec) - but all you have to do is drill the current plate to match a stock trans. Worked well. A stock starter hits the side covers, so went with a stealth low profile starter and fits perfect.

The RevTech trans is great -much better gear ration IMHO than the baker and 1/2 the price. Don't know about long term durability yet - If I blow this trans I'll get a Baker Torque Box - but I wanted to know everything would work first before dumping 4-5K on a trans... ya know? But for now the RevTech great... I think hype about "balanced drive" is between the ears and a marketing pitch. Bike handles just the same, take your hands of the bars and she goes straight.

So I'm pretty much done with this venture of removing every single BDM propriatary part on my bike - it is a stock generic chopper, the only thing BD on it is the the Vin # for cheap insurance :)

I wish I had more money.
I wish the balance drive were the case for me. I let those bars go and it hangs a HARD left. I've talked to a couple others with the earlier dogs that say the same thing. But, all being said I'm sure your frame is a later model. If it wouldn't cost a fortune I would go right side drive in a snap.

Man that was me a short while ago. Lots to think about and planing .I went with the S&S 96" -Their most dependable motor-more than enough in a Chopper frame. Whos kidding who - these bikes don't handel the best. And no compreshion release worries-less is better.
The Baker 6 speed was money well spent.
As for the wiring check out Thunderheart micro system - very easy install - with all the bells and whistles,
Would like to keep updated on the build. Any assistance I / we can be just ask.
I'm excited for you , Good luck

Hmm I like the drilling idea. If I get the plate, I don't know any welders that I trust to get it straight. The drilling, I can handle my self. Just need to map out where the thing needs to sit correct. I can shimm out the pulley to accomidate the wider tire. I wonder if there's a difference in length (tranny pulley to wheel pulley) ? And what the correct tranny offset for a ridgeback would be.
