I inquired about a jet kit a few months ago. Nelson finally responded after several arempts and told me he would get me price. I waited for about 2 weeks and got not response with a price, so I gave up and bought elsewhere that time, and every time since then. In short, I had same problem. Everyone recommends Nelson, but I had no luck.

well one thing for sure is its hard to keep everyone happy, sometimes you need to put yourself in someones shoes and be a little more understanding. Me myself am guilty of not returning calls. Not enough time in a day to keep every one happy, especially when people are calling and trying to get the cheapest price. Everyone has to make a living. I still think the best way is talking over the phone or in person. My .02:cheers:

Apologies guys ... I've been spending a lot of time and effort lately trying to get the eccommerce side up and running so that you can look up items and get your prices directly to save time. Since I'm not a BDM dealer, I'm pretty much on my own there on the work. Also I do almost 100% of the work myself so that I can keep the pricing down.

Not an excuse at all ... more of an explanation of why I am not always easy to track down. For example, the first 2.5 hours of today was answering messages from Thursday and on.

The FASTEST way to contact me is through SALES@WBCYCLES.COM or even the forum email BDMFORUM@WBCYCLES.COM both also shoot directly to my phone. I haven't been getting email announcements for PM through the normal email and just fixed that on this end.

Again, sorry to be hard to catch sometimes, but as Dave can attest when we've been on the phone at 11pm, I do my best to work until the job is done.

Had a request this morning to start making "kits" for you guys to handle things like rebuilds on the forks, primarys, etc .... and just got back new custom products I have been working on specifically for BDM bikes.

Again ... not an attempt at an excuse, you're right in that I should be easier to track down ... just letting you know that I am not drifting away ... in fact have been spending more time on BDM issues and making things better for the forum members than any other line of products.

7 days to respond to a post ,no response to emails or PM's and your tryin to sell the fact that the reason is you couldnt is because you are trying to do a better job and you have been catchin up on emails and phone messages....i think your sellin bullshit instead of parts...your shit just dont seem to add up and i for one am done with your undependable ass, sponsor or not,,,,matter of fact i recieved today from UPS and shipped from the factory the stuff i needed, before you even got back to me,i can understand it happening once maybe twice but after that its too much of a consistency of your undependability,,,you can sell your shit to the new guys until you leave them hang but i am done......................     :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

Early on I ordered a few items (forward controls, etc.)from Nelson at prices the same or actually slightly higher than I could have purchased them from locally in order to support a forum member. I appreciate everyone on here-and 20 bucks one way or another is not going to make a difference to most of us. Although Nelson has to be absolutely one of the nicest guys I have ever come across...I was less than satisfied with his follow up and response time as well. I thought it was just happening to me. Luckily-we do have a great local dealer (Twin Specialties in Raleigh) and I've since taken all my business to them. Hopefully, Nelson will get all the loose ends tied up soon so I can again feel comfortable attempting to do business with him. For me-it's more about service than price...as my time (as everyone elses) is the one commodity I cannot replace.

Got it ...

Note to self : Don't send Xmas Card to Jimi

I'm sorry guys.....but thats funny  I don't care who you are. :D

Nelson...good to see you still have your since of humor. Hope everything comes together for ya. You've always done me right and shipped promply. I've got no complaints ......but I've already got my stuff too :D

Wow, lots of not so good news going on here. I have never ordered anything from nelson but he has always answered my questions quickly, I cant say anything but good things about him but thats just my experience. I couldnt sit back and see all the negative without telling about my positive experiences. You guys could have been a little more professional about it and called him instead of bashing someone on a public forum. Obviously he has something going on but to voice something like this about one of our own in the forum is Bull Shit in my book, He is no different than anyonone else and is doing the best he can and is trying to make a living just like you, if you dont agree with it do business elsewhere and dont act like a prick.
You can bash me all you want but if you have any common sense at all you know you acted like a prick!!!

I must agree... Nelson took that hit to the chin like a fuckin champ. That was classic funny.

I tell ya boys.. nelson can be a pain with the contact sometimes. He's a on again off again guy. but when he's on, he's fuckin awesome. The man much like the rest of us has allot going on. Take that for whatever.

If he can't take care of you for some reason and you have no local dealership support, let me know. I have a michigan dealership that can take care of you with discount as well. That being said. I helped bring Nelson to BDB and can tell you, he will go out of his way to aid you. He's a great guy and I have spent many hours on the phone with him both looking for parts and just BS'in. Also keep in mind, being he is a sponsor we try to support them cause they support us.

Hopefully him and I will get together on his next trip to ohio. I know I owe him a few drinks for his help on the phoenix project last winter.

I agree that Nelson is a nice guy. As Gas says, when he is on his game, he does a good job. He is not consistent, as evidenced by my experiences and a few prior threads on this topic. I appreciate that he sponsors the forum, but I have neither the time nor patience for inconsistency when paying for service. I buy elsewhere also.

I want to give a shout out to Nelson too as he has saved me countless times living here in the UK. I don't have a Big Dog dealer at all and I've had a lot of dealings with Nelson and he's been great. He's gone above and beyond for me on several occasions (more than simply supplying me with parts) and I will always appreciate that - you won't hear a bad word said about him from me. He might be coming to the UK later on in the year and when I'm with him he won't be needing to put his hand in his pocket thats for sure.

I agree Nelson can be a hard to get a hold of, but every time I had a project I didn't wait till the last minute and expect him to jump on it tomry! I gave myself plenty of time. And can you imagine how many people contact him just for a $ on something? And then turn around and not buy it? He's a one man show, with all us knocking on his door. I truly would like to see some on here deal with what he does. And still have a life!:zz2cents: :chillpill:
