I'd say neither---I just took off my Big Radius, with Big City Thunder baffles, and replaced with MGS Tornados-now I got a decent set of big radius up for sale....like the new sound much better, and now I don't look like every other swinging dick....:flag:
you guys need to understand, im canadian. there are maybe a handful of big dogs in western canada. ive never even seen one.

there is no "either", its one or the other. i dont have a pile of money to spend on exhaust. if i did, i would have stainless creations.

You mentioned you do not have a pile of money, so maybe consider what I did until you have enough money for the pipes you REALLY want. The stock pipes have a total of 4 plugs, the two closest to the end of the pipe, I knocked them completely out. The two that are about 24" up inside the pipe, I drilled two 1/2" holes in each, trying to retain some back pressure. While I'm not crazy at all about the stock pipes, at least my bike now has a much more agressive sound. Not sure if I actually gained any HP...negligible. Didn't cost me a thing and I'm saving up for a set of pipes...to be determined.

pro-am is going to finance me $1000 for accerssories on top of the cost of my bike. so im hoping to get pipes, cruise mate, battery tender and installation for that or less. wojuld love to squeeze a jacket in there too but im sure all the other stuff will burn the $1k up quickly.

DON'T waste any of your $1000 accessory money on a battery tender from the dealership !! go to Walmart, Pep Boys, Autozone whatever you have up there and spend the $30-40 out of pocket, that grand is going to go REAL fast

they cost $40 at the dealer. the parts guy says its the original manufacturer that builds tenders for bigdog, and bigdog just slaps their sticker on it and charges more money.

TRUE COLORS COLLISION
back when i had a HD my brother had vance and hines pipes on his bike and when ever he was around i would allways hear this pingin, metallicy sound from them pipes and i hated it,i had bubs on my nitetrain...when i got this bike (BDM)they offered a free set of pipes and they had the big radius in stock which meant i'd get my shit faster.....i HATE the sound of any VANCE & HINES product I have ever heard....I have removed my baffles, cut my baffles in half cut them 3/4 and cut them1/4 of the way down,i have welded a washer to a bolt and put it in there and recently have bought Big City Thunder baffles and installed them.....guess what they still sound like shit to me i dont think theres nothin anyone can do to make them sound good...however i am not gonna do like my friend does and go buy new and different pipes every year......so i deal with it until something comes along that i hear and like.........of course this is just my opinion ......

i have v&h longshots on my HD deluxe and i think they sound good. 10x better than stock. but i bought the bike with them already installed so i didnt have the option to go with anything else.

i just cant bring myself to ride a bike with stock pipes.

Big Radius look good and they were on my bike when I purchased it. Problem is when turning right I drag my pipe on pavement, really frustrating.

I had Big Radius 2:2 on my '05 Chopper...loved the looks and sound, but a pain on right turns. I went with the BDM 'slip-ons' for my '09 K9 and love 'em!:2thumbs:
