Did you put a 30 micron in line on your K-9? If so, what did you use and where exactly did you mount it? I worry about getting the proper flow to the injectors.V.E. Peterson sells the filter in the tank if you have the walbro fuel pump which they also sell. Part number is 125-192. The filters in the tank are not small enough to catch the fine particles in gas etc. that plug up the fuel injectors on our bikes. I suggest you run a 30 micron in line fuel filter as per S@S. The phone number for V.E. Peterson is 1-800-537-6212.
I didn't realize there was a inline high pressure filter that would work on our system. learned something new this year already. thanks, the filter has to go on the suction side of the pump.
Okay, just for learning purposes... The fuel injectors are $100 each? Are they an off the shelf item (common with Harley or...) or are they Big Dog specific and difficult to find?I have had a big problem with clogged injectors too. The filter on the suction side of the pump is not fine enough.
My issue in part is the tank liner is starting to delaminate. I may just add a inline as Tom did until I figure out what I wana do with the liner.
In general it may be a good idea to have a filter fine enough o protect the injectors. Its a real pain to remove and clean them. I even replaced one ($100) before I realized what the real issue was.
