Just a quick update. Jerry's one lung is at 10% and the other is deflated and leaking/ruptured from the 8 broken ribs. Blood and fluid draining from the inflater hasn't changed over the last few days so not sure what the doctors will do about this. They don't give you a lot of info.
He will go into surgery on Saturday to fix his collar bone that is in three places. Otherwise he is doing ok.

Thanks to all of you sending him emails.

Time to turn his Big Bear Chopper into a "trike" :D

"Otherwise he is doing ok."

By the sound of it, he's doing all but ok. I hope he has good health insurance. It will be a slow process. I know you love your brother and we're here to help you get threw it. :hi: thanks for the updates.

Sorry to hear things don't seem to be getting better....yet.
I know these things just take time, a lot of time, so hang in there Ray.
I also know it's hard to see him go through all this.
I pray he will get better soon.
I know just how hard it is for you.

How are you doing Ray? I'm sure the stress created from worrying about your brother is taking a toll on you too.

Thanks Tim, doing ok and feeling better today. Pissed at Jerry for doing this to me again. Guico already evaluated his bike but my USAA hasn't even been here yet for mine!

Thanks for all the support guys and gals.

You guys are totally awesome and especially thanks to Mike (Stimikie) and all those that signed the card.

:2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

Will be some time for him to enjoy the present but well appreciated. He will go into surgery again in the morning to pin his collar bone but may be in the hosipital for sometime till his lung inproves.

Thanks all

I told you USAA is a little "off" on bikes these days. They are outstanding on other stuff but since none of that stuff is in house anymore.....

On the plus side once they got the stuff all figured out they deposited the money immediately, so it is just the matter of getting the paperwork squared away.

Not really that big of a deal in the scheme of things.

Take care.

Ray,
I completely understand the, 'not being able to see him' thing. My brother fell of a roof on Monday and we had to take hom to the local trauma unit. He fractured his hip in two place, broke his collarbone and fucked up his ribs. I stayed with him until they moved him into ICU (about 5 hours) and was not able to go back to see him after that, until I picked him up yesterday. It's just not an easy thing to see anyone, let alone a brother, in pain and not be able to do anything to help him. Gives me chills just thinking about it now. God Bless to both of you. You are in my prayers.
