I have no remorse for the BDM Corporate family; they deserved exactly what they got. Had they not screwed their customers, they would still have a following, even in todays economy. They took shortcuts that resulted in way too many recalls and other assorted repairs (like my 12 starters). My first instance of their mentality was Biketoberfest 05. I had the bike 6 months and 2 days when I called them and explained that some of my aluminum was corroding and becoming discolored. First thing Anne Dixon said was, "What did you run through?" We argued in email for about 2 months. They finally said I missed the deadline by 2 days. I R&R'ed the bad parts and polished them back to life. My fins...well 2 years pitted and green until I could afford to powdercoat them. My seat lasted about 18 months. I called about that and her first statement was, "What did you put on it?" It was the tone and lack of any empathy or concern. The only parts that break on my bike are the BDM's.

Im sure Ill get some grief about my statement, but I dont care. America is a free democracy and these are my feelings. I just never believed people should screw each other. Thank you.

No grief from me, it's your opinion and as far as getting the engineering drawings, we can use the ehc schematic for toilet tissue. I'm still waiting on Curtis to come up with a replacement. We will survive only if we want too.

I spite of all of the ill will, I am still lovin my "new" K9. Since picking it up in July I have successfully doubled the milage the first owner accumulated in the 5 or 6 years he owned it. So far it still has the original ehc and running fine. When and if it breaks, I"ll get it fixed:D

Looking forward to retirement
Read a couple of news articles. Apparently Sheldon Colman jr is the grandson of the late Coleman camping equipment giant. From what I read, in the loans he listed his private trustfund as collateral to get the large loans.thats how the bank was able to foreclose on his personnel assets. Damn! The bank also foreclosed on Bigdog parts, bigdog inc, everything to do with bigdog. Even the name now belongs to the bank. so after the smoke clears. The bank can sell the name and copy rights to bigdog. If someone wanted to restart bigdog now is the time to call a certain bank.

I have to give Sheldon Coleman props for trying. Not many people would put up there own trustfund to save there company. Seems he was really passionate about bigdog and his employees. Most company's I know throw there employees under the bus after the first hint of a problem. From a financial standpoint it was a terrible idea, but he tried to make it work. You don't see that much these days. Wish it would have worked out for him. I hate to see any American company go under.

I still believe that he would have a better following if he had created a better product from the start. Hence, he wouldnt be closed and 99% of this site wouldnt be, "My shit is broke. How do I fix it".
