Miles per TANK?

I'm using the 100 mile rule. I've had to switch to reserve once so far.
I've had it up to 115 with mixed in town and freeway.
You have to watch out for how much gas you actually put in it. I've quit letting the pump tell me when it's full and look inside the tank since my speedo is working when it wants to now.

Never had it quit at less than 100 - get pretty nervous by 120, but highway miles can stretch it out a lot. I purposefully ran it out once, just to be familiar with what it felt like. I ran an additional 4 miles on the reserve, and it had not quit yet before I filled it up again. Like chacha said, it is very dependent on riding style - and there is lots of variation on reserve capacity.

My gas light comes on around 130-140. Takes 3.2 gallons to fill it up each time. The 07 Bulldog has a 4.6 tank. I always reset the trip meter be sure each time I fill though.

What is the tank size on the newer bikes like the K-9?
Like I said I am getting 75-80 max before it starts to spit and reserve needs kicked on, but the Ridgeback only has a 3.8 gal. tank. My milage went to hell when the 600 cam went in it. It is dialed in to a tee. I don't think I could squeeze any better milage out of it without giving up some performance.

Anyone else getting this shitty of milage???

yes 4.4 is what my book says

I put in 2.9 gal today and had 110 hwy miles on it. according to this I should be able to go 140-150 miles per tank on the hwy.

I might have to run out this next tank and see

On the 07 Bulldog, it has a 4.6 gallon tank and a fuel indicator.
Perhaps the EFI does not mean Electronic Fuel Injection Gasman but really means Extra Fuel Indicator for us dummies:lol:

I guess buying a 2007, 2008 would solve my gas tank gauge

expensive but I want the LIGHT:bang: hehe

show me the light!
No Bulldog, just get your carb XXX and you'll get better gas mileage. I was getting somewhere near 30 before and after the XXX I'm getting close to 50 if I don't go WOT all the time. Some of these guys that are getting the high mileage forgot to tell you that they have been all XXX'ed. You don't need a new dog, just keep upgrading your. I have an 03 Pitbull. Good Luck.

Not to continue to beat a dead horse/dog, but I'm looking for a pump around 100 miles or so by that time my butt needs a break also.

I get 80-90 miles if I'm lucky.....and yes I have ran out. Like everyone else has said....the reserve is worthless.

Blitz, I am rinning a stock Super G not a XXX. I have the .031 and 78 if I remember right. I am at work and have it wrote down at home. It may have a .031 and 76. I think I am going to get the XXX asap. It looks like it would pay for itself in the gas milage department.
