Hey hey hay. What am I missing out on here? I heard my name mentioned.
I spoke with Bob last week and knew that we was at the Lone Star Rally all week.
As for the 05's. They all came with an "E" carb and had the restrictor plates in the manifold. They were easy to remove so no problem there. All other years used the G. Seems they went to the E to meet EPA requirements then figured out that there was no difference in the E or G so went back to the G in 06.
As for the "E" carb I find it not limiting on my 117" motor. I had the G on my 03 and my E preforms just as well.
The Triple X website has a lot of info on how the E will preform better for everyday riding than the G. Something about velocity of a smaller bore being better at slower speeds. The G being better at high rpm's, something my bike doesn't see much of.
As for the Triple X option....... I fully supported them back in 05 when everyone was spending over $400 to upgrade to the G carb when you could spend a hundred and have your E bored out and boosted.
Now with all the those of you that have the G my personal opinion is that you don't need more carburation on our motors. But the chrome bling is nice.
Anyway, enough about carbs. Where is the boobs?????
Later,
Ray
