NOPE! This is not the ohms law I was referring to which is:
E = I/R

Or, switching this around algebraically:
I = E/R

Thus, increased resistance results in lower current.

Class dismissed. :job:

It's Voltage Regulator divided by # of cooked EHC's = resistance on Serial Plug to EHC x amount of water given to said Dog = # of headlight bulbs used in a 30 day period!!!!

OK, getting away now from the intricacies of electronic theory, and choosing to not delve into the matter of inductive circuits and transmission line theory, the way I fixed MY headlight bulb from blowing every few days was securing a loose wire!

Upon yanking the seat and inspecting the wires, all looked good. I then proceeded to pull on each wire to really test their contact strength, and lo-and-behold, one wire just popped out of it's connector going to the battery terminal. Fixed it, and haven't blown a bulb yet!

Sorry, but no, it's not "Voltage is multiplied by resistance to derive amperage".

Amperage is voltage divided by the resistance (I = E/R). Thus, if voltage goes up, so does the amperage. If resistance goes up, the amperage goes down.

Power, in watts, on the other hand, is voltage times current (P = IV). Or, if we want to calculate the current where we know the wattage and the voltage, we would use I = P/V)

Thus, for our headlight bulbs, assuming a 55 watt bulb, we get just over 4.5 amps.
