Louisiana Boys - All holding up?

#1. Buy a video recorder and spend 1/2 a day recording on several SD cards!
#2. This is Louisiana it's August and it's HOT! Mold will grow fast!!! Rip everything 14" above waterline to slab out! And do it fast!!! Black mold will get into the ceiling.
#3. The insurance adjuster's are going to have their hands full! They can go off the video and pictures. You could be saving your house.
#4. Flood insurance tops out at $250,000.00. Tearing out fast could financially benifit you by keeping mold down!

Insurance agent said to get in as quick as possible and start pulling sheetrock and insulation, anything thats wet. Biggest problem is trying to get there. Everything is shutdown, some of the roads are still closed. Not sure if we can get to the house yet.

Another good rule of thumb. This water has had chemicals, poisons, fecies, tar, dirt, and in some areas dead and bloated animal and in some areas caskets and dead bodys. All this equals disease! Get a pump up sprayer and spray everything with Clorox! Specially inside the flooded houses after the tear out is done. Coat the studs and up rights!

Twin Peaks closed in Metairie, Houma, and Gretna. Rumour says the owner was sleeping with the help. And, it wasn't the kitchen help either! Oh, good to hear you are ok and no flooding. We are good to. Although, those damn snakes are driving me crazy. I used to be scared and now I just beat the shit out of them. I got tired of carrying a gun around the yard. Yesterday, I was cutting grass and a baby snake was roaming around the sidewalk so I went ahead and stepped on him a few times. Can't afford to let one bite one of the dogs (our kids).

Let's get together in September or October.

Hope all is getting better for you guys. Stay safe down there. Even with the water receding there is still a great deal of danger. Prayers from Alabama to you guys and your families.

Actually nothing except in this case I believe the story is the husband and wife got a divorce and the wife got all the Hooters in the area. Then, he opens all the TPs in the area. A little misconduct and a little bad perception leads to losing it all the Twin Peaks which are shutdown and then all of us lose out. Whatever the truth really is, we all lose out which means don't sleep with the help or we get screwed without benefits!

Got back from Denham Springs LA Sunday night. Took a trailer with supplies and tools. To be honest the only tools my nephew, wife and kids needed were crowbar, shovel, and wheelbarrow. They lost everything, not even a q-tip was left. In 2 days we tore it all out. Only thing left is brick, studs, and roof. The worst part is the smell, man it stinks, smells like sulfur and sewer. The first thing I noticed when I got to Denham Springs is all the mail boxes are knocked over, thought that was weird until they told me that the rescue boats knocked them over when they went through the neighborhoods. Seen boats sitting on dry ground. When the water receded they were left. Seen a bass boat with a 150hp mercury sitting at the corner of !-12 and Range Road. Seen cars with prop marks across them. It was bad, but I have to give the people of Louisiana credit. My Niece lives in New Orleans and my nephew lives right outside of Baton Rouge and I never could understand why anybody would live there, man that place is just one disaster after another. Them folks come together when they have too. When we were tearing the house down and hauling stuff out people would stop and help, they brought food, help carry stuff, total strangers.....helping all day. Had people driving around giving out free breakfast lunch and dinner. Even had the ice cream truck giving out free ice cream (it was hot and humid!!) Had a guy from Houston that loaded up a U-haul truck full of stuff stop and open up the truck and said get what you need. To be honest it renewed my faith in humanity, maybe there is still hope for us after all. My Nephew had insurance so they will be alright, and there young. Do something nice for somebody today.
