Our sister company branch in Hammond La was 1" from going in the front door. We had employees sand bag around all the doors. At the Tickfaw La it lacked 3" from entering the building that too was sand bagged. The Jennings La store is way up on hill off service road on I-10 it's good as is the Vidor Tx branch. The mobile Al branch is to far east, not getting this blast!

We have a dredging job (marsh restoration) starting up on Lake Pontchartrain and all they got was some rain. No flooding reported to me.

Thanks for asking about us. I rode the Big Dog once to the gas station!:chopper:

Nice one Eric. At my last Doctor visit, I found out I have shrunk too! :(

When the rain first started last week, the canals filled up and some of our roads closed for a couple of hours. When the pumps kicked on, it sucked that water right out like a good BJ.

I've never had any trouble with flooding at my house which was built pretty high compared to the surrounding homes. The cooler weather was a welcome since I have been working on replacing all the rubber parts (b Bellows, water hose, etc) on the Boat outdrive.

It did stop me from my normal jogs. It was nice sitting on the back porch thinking I was in a Rainforest drinking beer. The Dogs got a couple of baths since they love running in the rain and any water filled low spots in the back yard.

My nephew lives in Denham Springs, right off Juban Road. Water is about 7 foot in there house. They were able to get out on saturday. His wife's Mother and Father live at the end of Range Road, which is by the Bass Pro Shop in Denham. They've been stuck on the second floor of there house for the last 2 days. Water is starting to recede. Her parents got out today. I've been to that area several times, usually stay at the KOA in Denham. Weird seeing all the pictures and video. They have flood insurance and everybody is ok, I'll be heading down to help rebuild or tear apart in a few days. They got 31" of rain in just a couple of days.

#1. Buy a video recorder and spend 1/2 a day recording on several SD cards!
#2. This is Louisiana it's August and it's HOT! Mold will grow fast!!! Rip everything 14" above waterline to slab out! And do it fast!!! Black mold will get into the ceiling.
#3. The insurance adjuster's are going to have their hands full! They can go off the video and pictures. You could be saving your house.
#4. Flood insurance tops out at $250,000.00. Tearing out fast could financially benifit you by keeping mold down!

Oh yes!!!!! All the slithering creepy crawlers are going for dry spots. In this case probably attics and 2 story homes, out houses! You will find shit located for days!
