Has the bike been sitting? That looks real rich with a few starts. Maybe stuck injectors due to the sticky goo when sitting for months on end.
The rev is about: does it drop on its nose, or does it go past 5,000 rpm when you fully open the throttle. It happens fast, so you either catch it from over revving, or the safety of the coil, or injectors being cut off by the EFI, or it has no safety and you over rev it and hit parts inside. So all you are doing is telling if the pump can feed the high rev demand of fuel needed. These are high torque, low revving engines, so you just want to see if it can take fuel at high rpm. This says the fuel pump can meet the pressure drop of the demand of the fuel needed for thousands of rpm... you eliminated the pressure variable.
Might want to suit up, toss the ratio for injector cleaner to gallons of gas, see if this was sitting, yes? Then, still, it points to leaking, or sticking injectors that meets the rich pop in the pipe. So say the plugs.
UNLESS, UNLESS, WOT is the Compression of the cylinders? Do not chase the tail gulping inj cleaner and it does not help.
1. Clogged A/C Element.
2. Leak/lag at the injectors.
3. Compression.
