Martin bros? Paul yaffee , I want different , loud, compliment my Dog.....
Buy my used Trotta D-2's, they need to be rechromed or ceramic coated, look on Trottas web site. He sells them for $1,100. I'll let them go for $150.00 or I'll just hang them on the garage wall. Good luck!

I think after ChopperDave gets a good summer on his pipes I will look at buying the Stainless creations, one that is two into one, I have the VH 2 into 1, and not real happy with the sound. :(

I haven't heard anyone but Gas not liking the V&H pipe. I have spent a shit load of cash on pipes and the V&H are good as any. So you get what you pay for is not always the case with pipes, pipes are a f-ing rip off. The heat shields on V&H fit better than most, and our bikes seem to run well with them. Pig Pen has a set on his bike since 04, no trouble and his bike has always ran great! Sorry Gas, your the man, but can't always agree with you, don't be sad everyone is wrong once in a while.
Yes, pipes are a rip off as far as money spent. However, look at Dave's and then look at a set of BR. Very clear cut difference. Hooligan said it like it is, just as he usually does.

heat shield fit? Tell that to Big House, he's broke 2 clamp mounts, and so did a few others before. I don't think they fit any better than an stock HD pipe. I will say that Martin Bro's heat shields fit for shit, but beyond that... as Alhall would say... heat shields are for pussies!

Again, look at a good pipe like Daves. Cutter did the other day and he even said he was amazed how thick the pipe was. Get what you pay for, cause Dave's is about one of the sickest pipes out right now IMHO.

And also as said... there are a lot of other companies out, that make a better, more stylish, more custom, and better power pipe.

Custom Bike deserves better than an "off the shelf" pipe like any V&H.

Now that is one side of the coin. The other... V&H pipes are junk! The pipe is thin, diameters are small so they can be used on a wide variety of pipes, but doesn't work as well with the big motors. Further, they can't make a decent baffle if you threatened them to do so.

Just my $0.02
A lot of people have had V&H pipes installed (me included, 2:2) and they seem to look and sound good and work very well. On my new Dog, I'll be looking for the best all-around (quality & performance) after-market pipe that won't blow out your right side ear drum:eek: when riding long distances.

Right now, I'm leaning toward the V&H 2-into-1 Big Radius.

Best to look else where IMHO

Check the exhaust thread... lots of good choices! Pick something different... something you won't see outside the HD dealer or see at any bike night.

Might depend on the bike. But with the clearance of the hoookers I worry they will be like the BR... everybody will have them.

I don't know about quality... I have never seen a set in person...

That is a Weber setup. He already sold it to Jwolf and I'm not sure if he's still running it or not.
