Well.... for once I have been very lucky then.... it took me the whole operation 15-20 minutes.... no dramas with the ring!

Wow Franco - thanks for posting. I just bought one and its sitting on the workbench and I'll install it today. This is great!! I'll buy another for the other skoot now!

Well, I just installed mine on the 07 k9 and it went pretty smooth. Before removing the set screws i sprayed the ring threads with a little pb blaster and every thing came right off. Actually it was uneventful.just don't forget to dab a small amount of anti seeze on there taking rings and blue loctite on the screws:up:.thanks again Curtis one trick that helps is taking 2 small Allen wrenches and use them to spin the retaining ring off. The beauty ring required rubber gloves

Well, for the PIA time I had it might as well been a colonoscopy.

all i have is what kind of look slike a giant snap ring with 2-3 holes to grab it with and unscrew it form the bucket...

Notihng pretty.

I got an LED bulb from Curtis since half a year and couldn't be happier. Less drain on the battery when starting the engine and more light in the night.

recommend it :up:
