i looked for the LSK set up for Hydrostatic fuel gauge and it said it was out of production. However found an ultrasonic sender that sticks to bottom outside of tank but wonder how much of it would be seen...the brain box would definitely fit up to bottom of back bone, then was thinking of milling the top of air filter cover to put in a LED strip light. 4 green 3 amber 2 red Last red would pulse. with that wouldn't have to worry about where to mount gauge.
I saw too that it (LSK) was no longer in production. Wow...I was getting amped up about the prospect of having a Fuel Gauge, searching for a compatible display, mount, etc. All that only to discover that it's not available. I still haven't given up on the idea, that Sensor could possibly exist under a different description other than fuel Gauge. I also saw the Ultrasonic you're talking about but didn't have a chance to get a good look.

I also like your LED idea!

something like this. big dog is flat on top, so would be in sight but not annoying.
I like it. Clean...unobtrusive. I found info on a redesign on the Hydrostatic. An even smaller footprint. This could easily be installed inside/under the Ignition Cover along with the coil. However, I was not able to find a finished product (for sale). Like so many other items, may just require a little more persistence. I don't use Facebook, if you have it there may be additional information. From the looks of the picture, it certainly appears that the redesign was complete. Seems unlikely that they went through all this trouble and didn't offer it for sale.

Hahaha . Yeah, I figured something was up when you asked so I started searching and didn't find anything. I was under the impression that Harley had the shock I would need. I as looking at Curtis' site...did WORX originally make the shock?
I'm not sure if they built the air ride shock for our bikes or not. But they did make the standard kind and from my understanding when they went out of business another shock company in Cali started rebuilding the Worx shocks. But I cant for the life of me remember the name of the company that was doing the rebuilding. I've got it in either an old email or FB message. I'll try to dig around and see if I can find out who, cause its about time to have the shocks on the bagger rebuilt.

Found IT>>>>>

Worx Shocks was started in 2017 by the daughter of , the founder of the original Works Performance Products. After the original company closed in 2017 following Gil's passing in 2015, his daughter reopened under the name Worx Shocks to continue building and rebuilding shocks using the same, original technology.

  • Founder:
    Gil Vaillancourt
    (Original Company).
  • Successor:
    Gil Vaillancourt's daughter
    (current Worx Shocks).
  • Company Name: The company is now officially operating as Worx Shocks.
  • Rebuilding/Services: They offer full-line service, repair, and custom-built shocks to order.
  • Alternatives: Other companies, such as Schmidty Racing or MCR Suspension, are known for servicing or rebuilding these types of shocks.
The new entity continues the tradition of creating custom-built, made-to-order shocks for motorcycles, ATVs, and cruisers, utilizing the same, original damping system, as mentioned on worxshocks.com.

I think BigdogRick had his worx shocks rebuilt by someone other than Tim @ Worx. Try sending him a message about it.

I'll do that, but I know that Schmidty Racing is the one someone had told me about a while back just couldn't remember till I did a little researchand seen the name and it hit me that was the company someone had told me about. But I will hit BigdogRick up and see who he has in mind.

Thanks

There is such an incredible wealth of knowledge on this forum. There is hardly a problem that can't be solved when everyone pools their resources. I tried calling WorxShocks 2 - 3 times over the past week, hoping that they could provide a little bit of information. However, couldn't get anyone on the phone.

I was able (Different source) to locate a BIG DOG (Whoever made it) Air shock, (Slightly used). Also located an OEM Shock to complete the set. So, looks like I have everything for the installation. I plan to use GlowShift Oil pressure/Air Pressure Digital Gauges, along with the Wimmer Dual-Gauge mount. These gauges are 2 1/16", Wimmer offers 3 different gauge mounting sizes (specify when ordering). I'm not really fond of the Wimmer, but temporarily it will have to suffice. (I added a volt gauge so you could check it out, I know you mentioned it earlier). Also, the GLOW gauges have a power (Daisy chain) option, so you don't have to run power to each gauge.
